Our flagship programme incorporates the City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Boatbuilding (Advanced) — and goes far beyond it, providing comprehensive practical instruction in traditional and contemporary boat-building construction methods.
In the first half you will develop dedicated boat-building skills and knowledge through a highly structured training programme; in the second half, you will build boats from start to finish using both traditional and modern construction, gaining the experience that only hands-on work can bring. Full-time, five days a week from 08:30 to 17:30, with a minimum of 40 workshop hours — all students work across several boats to gain the widest possible range of experience.
