Get into woodwork or expand your skills with this five-day course that sets solid foundations. You will cover tool sharpening, marking out, sawing, planing, chiselling and joint cutting, learn how to select timber, and practise basic joinery.
You will also learn the art of letter carving — carving a name board for your house or boat — and spend two days cutting your own hand-cut dovetail joints, refining your technique to build a small dovetail box by the end of the course.
