Aimed at beginners and boat builders who wish to stay on top of typical repair and maintenance tasks, this two-week course provides a solid grounding in the use and application of glass-reinforcement materials and polyester resins, and in the production of moulds and mouldings.
You will cover small-scale lay-ups for dinghies, yachts and GRP components; safe handling, storage and disposal of resins; cloths and weave patterns; stiffening laminates; sandwich construction with vacuum bagging; fault-spotting and corrective repairs from both outside-in and inside-out; and colour-matching and surface finishing.
